Detox Skincare Routine (in gifs!)

I've grown to realize that many of you are visual learners and if you are anything like myself, your attention span is limited to about 30 seconds per topic. With that being said, I have decided to deliver and updated detox routine to you via gifs (I'm clearly bored in the house and I'm in the house bored so I had time). This is for those long days after heavy makeup when your skin needs some extra love. Stay safe guys 🤗

 

Step 1: Pre-Cleanse 

Using dry hands, massage over dry face and eyes for at least 60 seconds. Concentrate on areas of congestion or stubborn debris. Rinse with warm water. 

Oil cleansing preps your skin for cleansing by dissolving stubborn makeup and oils. It softens skin cells and gets them ready for your water-based cleanser. The citrusy vitamin-packed goodness of our Grapefruit Cleansing Oil is perfect for this step!

Step 2: Cleanse

Work foam into a rich lather on warm damp skin and massage around face for 60 seconds.  Rinse with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.

 

With a soap-based cleanser you really lift off the dirt makeup and dead skin. Everything your oil cleansed has lifted off should be washed down the drain. Our Black Soap Foaming Facial Cleanser is powerful, yet the ingredients are gentle enough to not irritate your skin like most black soaps. We have carefully balanced the pH of this product and enriched it with nourishing ingredients to ensure a light cleansing.

Step 3: Tone

Either saturate two cotton pads and gentle wipe toner around face and neck or spray directly on skin.

 

Rebalance skin moisture with a toner after cleansing. Cleansing can sometimes be harsh on skin and you want to make sure you give your skin a bit of a re-boost before you move on to your next step. Our Moroccan Rosewater Toner offers brightening, exfoliating and moisturizing effects while our Green Tea Cleansing Water continues the cleansing process and treats skin while toning.

Step 4: Mask 

Mix mask with equal parts water and stir into a paste. Add more water or mask as needed. Evenly spread on face and leave on for 10 minutes for sensitive skin and 20 minutes for normal skin.

Remove mask with warm water and followed by a cool water rinse to close pores. 

 

 

Masking is relaxing and also a great way to continue the detox process after a long day under heavy makeup. Clay masks dig down deep and drain your pores and removing them gives you added exfoliation.

 

Step 5: Treatment/Moisture

Shake well before use. Apply two drops of serum to fingers or clean cotton ball. Dab gently onto clean skin and massage in circular motions.

 

Finally, you want to treat whatever problems you have with a serum. Serums are packed with active ingredients, allowing you to deliver treatments to specific targeted locations in high concentrations.
